CW481K also known as PB1 is an alloy of tin and copper to which phosphorus has been added during the casting process. It is a single phase alloy suitable for cold working.

The benefits of this include its good resistance to corrosion, (approaching that of aluminum bronzes) and excellent mechanical and high fatigue strength.

CW481K is a tough material of very wide application.

Applications include many architectural features such as mouldings, window mullions, door frames, elevator trims and handrails. Hardware uses include hinges, locks, bolts and drawer handles. For industrial applications bronze round bar is machined to produce a great deal of pump and valve components, bearings and gauges.
